Don't Badger Me (Dachshund)
I've got courage and strength
So don't badger me.
I've got stamina too
And dig good with my feet.
Well I used to hunt rabbits back in Germany.
I'm a good Dachshund
So don't badger me.
Well I'm streamlined mama,
People look at me.
I've responsive and fun
And don't you know I'm so, so sweet.
Though I'm low to the ground and they call me a hound
I'm terrier down deep.
I'm a good Dachshund
So don't badger me.
Well I'm always willing to try
To please every girl and guy.
I have long fur, wired or smooth,
I come mini and standard too!
I'll follow you anywhere
Just as long as you lead.
I'll be your best friend
And warn you of your enemies.
I'm a dog of the earth, I'll go underground
If that is what you need.
I'm a great Dachshund
So don't badger me.

On this page:
Dandy Dinmont Terrier
I come from the upland hills
And I roam the countryside
A big little dog with might will
A terrier with drive
I am a Dandy Dinmont
From fiction I’m derived
I’ve been watching oer these fields
Long before you were alive.
I hunt the hills of Scotland
And I work beside my clan
I go to earth and rid the badger
From my farmer’s land
I am a Dandy Dinmont
So alert I stand
Fearless and faithful
With the eyes of a noble man
Grey mist for my body
Lichen for my hair
Juniper stumps for my legs
And a bramble nose I wear
I come from old country
Yes it’s deep in my soul
Around the world I am loved
And fit into ay home
Like pepper I am spicy
Like mustard I am bold
I am the Dandy Dinmont
Terrier to the bone
I am the Dandy Dinmont
Terrier to the bone

(Dalmatian) Fire in the Streets
There's a fire, I'm on my way
Smoke it risin' and the sky is grey
Follow me all the way through town
I'll get you there before the house burns down
Tell the horses they have to rally,
Ride along with the faithful dally -
Fire in the streets,
The Dalmatian can take the heat -
I like to ride beneath the carriage
Horses and me make the perfect marriage
If you can count to a hundred and one
Then together we can get the job done
I've got respect through history
I love to work and I've got the energy
Fire in the streets
The Dalmatian can take the heat -
I've seen the world, yea I get around
I work from sunrise to sundown
From Dalmatia to your home
I haven't changed a single bone
I've got the nature of a gentle dog
I can run through the snow or fog
I haven't told you the best part yet
I make the perfect family pet
I'm spotted from my head to my toes
And I am loved wherever I may go
Fire in the streets
The Dalmatian can take the heat

Dogue de Bordeaux
I am the Dogue de Bordeaux, I'd like you to know
The story behind my history
In the south of France, the land of romance,
I have lived for over six centuries
Back in the French Revolution
The Castles were mine to defend
The elite faced their execution
And we also went down with our friends -
Oh, la vie en rose
I am the Doque de Bordeaux
I'm a dog of war, I hunt bear and boar
Chase jaguars and herd cattle home
Courageous and strong, yet underneath calm
I'm Mastiff deep to the bone
My wrinkled coat shines like copper -
My pink nose senses my prey
These light eyes they twinkle like amber
And my big head takes your breath away -
Oh, la vie en rose
I am the Dogue de Bordeaux
Now back to my size, it's hard to deny
My powerful body is awesome
Remember the pooch in Turner and Hooch?
A Bordeauxdog most handsome
My presence is hard to ignore
So you'll never fear the dark
Okay, I might drool and I snore
But I'm just a softy at heart -
Oh, la vie en rose
I am the Dogue de Bordeaux
Oh, la vie en rose
I am the Dogue de Bordeaux

(Doberman Pinscher) Top Dog In the Neighborhood
Everybody's buzzin' in the neighborhood about the new kid on the block
Like some kind of aristocrat you can see it in his walk
All us dogs are street wise, that is understood
But when the Dobie came to town he was top dog in the neighborhood.
He's so sleek, he's so fine, stirrin' up a storm
All the girls go crazy cause he's clever and he's foreign
It seems he looks right through you, you'd better treat him good
Cause when the Dobie came to town he was top dog in the neighborhood
We don't like dogs messin' round, those nasty, nasty dogs -
The Doberman is gonna lay it down, lay down the law
Everybody's talkin' 'bout the midnight star, he shines above the rest
He's got a lot of love and soul, he always meets the test
They say he's got a sweet nature, he's gentle and he's good
The Doberman is top dog, top dog in the neighborhood -
You'd better get along now -

(English Bulldog) Bully Bully
Im the local bully, bully bully for me
I'm so British I take crumpets and tea
If you want a bull to bait, I'm your mate
Bully bully
I'm the founding stock of Mastiff and Boxer
The French Bulldog, the Boston and Bull Terrier
I can prove I'm tough, I've got the right stuff
Bully bully
You'd better clear the track and fly the Union Jack
Cause everywhere I go, people wanna know "who's that bloke?"
I'm the local bully, but I'm really quite sweet
I'd rather be a lover than chase bulls through the streets
Who can resist a dog truly blessed
Bully bully
You'd better clear the track and fly the Union Jack, Jack
Cause everywhere I go people wanna know "who's that bloke?"
I'm the local bully, bully bully for me
I'm so British I take crumpets and tea
If you want a bull to bait, I'm your mate

(English Setter) Morning Fog
If you need a dog to find the trail
For a little foot hunting when you search for quail
I'm a quiet worker and I'm quick and my feet
I'm an English Setter and I"m downright sweet
I learned my trade from my roots in Britain,
My instincts brewed in the filelds of England
The sight of a bird and my mind is butter
My body's still but my heart's aflutter
Let's go walking in the morning fog
You can be my person and I'll be your dog
Together,
Forever
My beautiful eyes are hazel tinged
Ears, legs, underside heavily fringed
Now I don't mean to stand up and blow my own horn
But I'm totally gorgeous, that's just how I'm born
I'm easy to be with, easy to please
I just love my children and family
Whatever you need from the field to the show
I'm an English Setter - a mild mannered soul
Let's go walking in the morning fog
You can be my person and I'll be your dog
Together,
Forever
I'm the first enlisted with the AKC
I've been around for centuries
I'm a great companion and my blood runs deep
I'm an English Setter and I'm downright sweet
Let's go walking in the morning fog
Be my person and I'll be your dog -
Together
Forever

Cleans all my dishes and wags her tail yea,
She's my English gal,
My Cocker Spaniel
Take her to the field and watch her go now
Take her to the pool and watch her float, yea
She's my English gal

She likes to ride around in my car
She never wanders off too far
She understands my every word
I'm gonna love her like nobody's loved her
She'll chase the wood cock and the pheasant
She's aristocratic, she's no peasant
She's my English gal

Look at those brown eyes and that wet nose
A coat of feathers she just loves to show

She likes to ride around in my car
Wearin' sun glasses she's a star

English Toy Spaniel
All bow down, the spaniel wears the crown
England's joy, King Charles' little toy
We flow through the halls of history
Small, square, so petite
The biggest star of any crowd
Drifting by like royal clouds
A dash of Pekingese and Chin,
The far east glows deep within -
The treasured gift of kings and queens
We warmed their hearts and filled their dreams
All bow down - the spaniel wears the crown
England's joy - and Blenheim's little toy
The gents called us ambassadors
To ladies we were comforters
Well behaved, affectionate
The perfect dog for any lap
So beautiful the people stare
Our pushed in noses claimed the air
God bless Mary Queen of Scots
We sat for portraits with her tots
All bow down - the spaniel wears the crown
England's joy - Princes Charles little toy
Once we were hunters of the ground
Over the earth, all around
But now I choose your company -
In the lap of luxury -
When I run to greet the door
Or make my entrance cross the floor
Just picture me as royalty
So wise and full of mystery
My feathered ears will make you sigh
My high domed head and big dark eyes
Loyalty I give to you
My heart will always be true blue
All bow down - the spaniel wears the crown
England's joy - that Ruby little toy
All bow down - the spaniel wears the crown
England's joy - the perfect little toy

Flat Coated Retriever
Tails will be wagging at St. John's Pub
Flat Coated Retrievers Are meeting with their club
We'll sing about the old boys here in Newfoundland
And all the dangers crossing oer the seas to old England
We're Proper Retrievers, we are blessed
Standing so beautiful above the rest
We're Flat Coated Retrievers with hearts so true
Hot diggity dog diggity we love you
Gamekeepers loved us as did the fishermen
We could swim and we could track across the marshy land
Flushing out the pheasants or the waterfowl
And nary would a one of us have tossed in the towel
Golden Retrievers, Labradors too
Our spirit lives deep inside you
We're Flat Coated Retrievers with hearts so true
Hot diggity dog diggity we love you
Beauty and brains, courage and heart
These are the traits that carried us so far
Family companions, loyal and kind
Always so proud to stand at your side
We hail from the Newfie, Irish Setter too
Throw a little Sheepdog in the stew
We're Flat Coated Retrievers, with hearts so true
Hot diggity dog diggity we love you
Deep with emotion, true to our breed
Our history's written on the seas

Hot diggity dog diggity we love you

The French Bulldog Song
I am the French Bulldog, a little Sherman Tank,
If dogs were in the army, I'd hold the highest rank.
My legs are short and curvy, but hey, they touch the ground,
You'll always know I'm coming through by my peculiar sound.
Okay, my face is pushed in, my bat ears are too large,
But if you look into my eyes you'll see that I'm all heart.
I am the little Frenchie, oh watch me spin around,
Now is there any question I'm the cutest dog in town.
Allons chiens de la patrie,
Le jour de "bark" est arrivee.
I am the little froggy, I come from Paris, France,
That is where I learned to dos-a-dos my joyful dance.
I became so popular along the boulevard
Every politician vowed a Frenchie in each yard.
My cousins live in England, some went to Canada,
They say that I am deeply loved in America.
Oh I'm the famous Frenchie, the talk of every crowd,
I will stand en guarde for you cause overall I'm proud.
Allons chien de la patrie,
Le jour do "bark" est arrivee.
I am the French Bulldog, Le Bouldog Francais,
If you give me half a chance I'll teach you how to play.
Yes, I'm a little toughie - just look how I am built,
I may be short in stature but I'm really big in will.
There's never been a puppy so soft and so round,
Hold one in your arms and he will kiss away your frown,
If you've ever doubted that you could love a frog,
I will steal your heart away I am the French Bulldog.
Allons chiens de la patrie,
Le jour de "bark" est arrivee.

Foxy Terrier
There she goes, her tail held high
She scans the world with her x-ray eyes
She's on the prowl, her mind is aburnin'
She wants to get down on some nasty vermin
Foxy Terrier, I love her so
The way she dances so fast on her toes
Foxy Terrier, I'm caught in her groove
I love her wired, I love her when she's smooth
She always runs, she can't seem to walk
Standing straight legged she's solid as a rock
She turns the eye of fine connoiseurs
Once you fall in love well there aint no cure
Fox Terrier, I love her so
The way she dances so fast on her toes
Foxy Terrier, I'm caught in her groove
I love her wired, I love her when she's smooth
There she goes, little miss flirt,
Runnin' round and diggin' up dirt
Heads turn when she walk away
Dogs line up and she leads them astray
There's only one dog in my heart
I fell in love right from the start
I never knew what I missed 'til I saw
This crazy world through the eyes of my dog
Foxy Terrier, I love her so
The way she dances so fast on her toes
Foxy Terrier, I'm caught in her groove
I love her wired, I love her when she smooth

German Shorthaired Pointer Sisters
We're wild about your fragrance.
Falling to earth you were heaven sent.
You're playing' possum but we all agree
You look like one of the partridge family.
You see we're always on the prowl,
For some young buck or some cocky fowl-
We jump, we swim, hey we're twisters,
We're German Shorthaired Pointer Sisters.
Yeah, yeah!
There's never been a sport too rough,
We come from Deutchland, we are tough.
In track and field trials we are winners,
Retrieving ducks we're bitchin' swimmers.
Together we make harmony,
And we can charm the whole family.
We jump, we swim, hey we're twisters,
We're German Shorthaired Pointer Sisters.
Yeah, yeah!
Me and my sisters, we all agree now,
There's no cooler group than we.
In the water and in the bogs,
In the woods we are bird dogs.
Together we make harmony
And we can charm the whole family cause
We jump, we swim, hey we're twisters,
We're German Shorthaired Pointer Sisters.
Yeah, yeah!

(German Shepherd) I Stand On My Word
When I was young I rambled across the German fields
I watched the flocks unravel as I threatened at their heels
I was born of herding blood sworn to guard my land
All I ask is just a touch from my master's hand -
I stand on my word I am German Shepherd
When I was grown I traveled into the war torn world
I crossed into the battles, guns roared, flags unfurled
Canons crashed around me, I never lost control
And my courage never failed, I endlessly patrolled -
I stand on my word I am German Shepherd
I have the heart of a lion, I have the soul of a lamb
I am German Shepherd born to serve my man
Now I am seeing eyes for the weak of sight
I have a calculating mind to guide you through the night
Although I always guard my heart I give my love for life
All I ask is just the love in my master's eyes
I stand on my word I am German Shepherd

King Of Cool (Golden Retriever)
He's all wet, my dog loves to swim.
And no wave's too high to make that guy come in.
Day after day, he just wants to play -
That's the golden rule, king of cool.
When he grins that smile I know he wants to please.
It's the nature of the beast born to retrieve.
Wave after wave he surfs the time away -
That's the golden rule, king of cool.
Oh how I love my golden boy,
Brown eyed joy,
Watching him drift across the sea
He comes back to me.
And he will always care,
When I need a friend,
He'll be there,
That's the golden rule, king of cool.
When he runs to me he's beauty to behold.
How I love that dog, he's worth his weight in gold.
Night after night he's sleeping by my side -
That's the golden rule, king of cool.

Great Pyrenees
I'll keep watch over you
I'll guard the children too
I have a place in the hearts of men
And my will is true
From the French royalty
To shepherds who watch over sheep
Beside man and king, I give everything
I'm a Great Pyrenees
I will keep you safe from harm
On the coldest night I'll keep you warm
Mountain high, valley low,
I'll stand by you wherever you go
I'm just as strong as sweet
There's no love as deep
From Versailles to Marseilles, I'll keep danger at bay
I'm a Great Pyrenees
I'll keep watch over you
Ill guard the children too
Companion and friend
Within hearts of men
And my will is true
I'll rescue those in need
I pull my weight so easy
I will rule the ranch, I'm the white avalanche
A Great Pyrenees

Glen of Imaal Terrier
From County Wicklow, Ireland
I am the one they call the "Glen"
Tough and rugged, that's my charm
An all round dog to work the farm
I hunt the otter, fox and mink
I always win by my instinct
A badger dare not even blink -
Without a sound, I hold my ground,
Pull them out where they dig down
Say when, say where
Say the word and I'll be there
I'm full of Irish character
I'm Glen of Imaal Terrier
My body's longer than it's tall
But I think I'm larger over all
Front legs bowed, back legs strong,
I'm powerful when called upon
I work the lowlands, guard the sheep,
I'm blue in colour or like wheat
I help my master cook the meat
Round and round, the spit turns round
I turn the style til the roast is brown'd
Say when, say where
Say the word and I'll be there
I'm full of Irish character
I'm Glen of Imaal Terrier
I'm known to have nerves of steel
But I can melt when children squeal
I'd rather tackle than than to tag
A car ride makes my tail to wag
But I was born to work the earth
Over hills, over turf,
Find the vermin, prove my worth -
Without a sound, I hold my ground,
Pull 'em out where they dig down
Say when, say where
Say the word and I'll be there
I'm full of Irish character
I'm Glen of Imaal Terrier

Born To Run - Greyhound
I come to you through history
Like sands through time
I've walked beside royalty
And brilliant minds
If you could live in my heart
And see through my eyes
You could learn to catch the wind
You could learn to fly
Don't hold me down
I'm the Greyhound
I'm the fastest one I was
Born to run
I am driven by the prey
That makes me take to flight
The blood flows through my brain
And the chase fills my sight
Thunder roars deep inside
Lightning strikes my feet
My body reaches for the sky
I live to feel the heat
Don't hold me down
I'm the Greyhound
I'm the fastest one I was
Born to run
feel my heart beating strong
boom boom boom
feel my spirit living on

Yes I have lived for centuries
I heard the heavens sing
I've crossed the world and all the seas
And this is what I bring
I give to you this heart of gold
I give my trust and faith
I give to you my gentle soul
And all that's true and brave
Don't hold me down
I'm the Greyhound
I'm the fastest one I was
Born to run
I race across any course
Because I'm built for speed
I gallop with a mighty force
I surpass any breed
Yes I have lived through history
I am a hound of sight
But all I long to see is you,
And gaze in your eyes.
Don't hold me down

It's a shame, shame shame, if you've never met a Great Dane
It's a doggone shame cause you're missing the best
I'm a dog who defends when I choose you as my friend
And I stand above the rest

Well pretty aint enough, you gotta be tough

It's a dog's life working for my man day and night
It's a dog's life but you gotta treat your man right
Yes it's a shame, shame, shame if you've never met a Great Dane
It's a doggone shame cause the pleasure is mine
Tall and serene, the noblest you've seen with a heart true and kind
I run through the forest, run through the woods,
Chasing the wild boar down
I stand on my land, I stand by my man
I would never let you down, no no
It's a shame, shame, shame if you've never met a Great Dane
It's a doggone shame cause you're missing the best

The Havanese
My roots are in Havana tho I come from old Espana
I sailed from Tenerife to grace the Cuban streets
I charmed them with my vision and gentle disposition
Cuz I always aim to please, I am the Havanese
Oh los perritos
My fluffy little ninos
My favorite banditos
The Cuban Havanese
My wavy coat with feathers can take the hottest weather
This lovely pearly sheen comes from the Bichon family
The children's dearest friend, I can even herd the hens
And not a soul will sneeze around the Cuban Havanese
Oh los perritos
My fluffy little ninos
My favorite banditos
The Cuban Havanese
In the era of romance I entertained and I danced
Like there was no manana in colonial Havana
But soon the curtain fell, the revolution broke the spell
We fled into the Keys - just a few Havanese
Oh los perritos
My fluffy little ninos
My favorite banditos
The Cuban Havanese
In Florida by chance we were eleven immigrants
We joined in unity to save our history
The Spanish Silk Poodle now a Yankee Doodle
I am my country's breed, the Cuban Havanese.
Oh los perritos

My favorite banditos

My Sweet Baby Greyhound
It's rumored that her family tree is from the ruling class
She's pure aristocracy loved by the top brass
They say she is aloof but she can slay you with her smile
I say she is a goof from the valley of the Nile
Across the sands of Egypt she traveled through the world
She's got a reputation, hey the Greyhound's a parti girl
Take her to the track now, run rabbit, run
She's faster than the wind and she's hotter than the sun
When she isn't running she doesn't care
You will find her upsidedown in your biggest softest chair
She is all I need, she's elegance and style
She can lean on, she's my looney toon, my princess of the Nile
I'm so glad she found me - I've searched around the world
She will never let me down, she will never run around
She's my sweet baby Greyhound
ah - ooooooo sweet baby Greyhound

(Ibizan Hound) Run With Me
From Egypy to Ibizan shores
There came a dog of kings
They crossed the land, flew oer the sand
As if their feet had wings
And reaching to the eastern sky
They scanned with amber eyes, singing
Run with me, run with me
And we can fly -
Inside the ancient royal tombs
They made their final bed
Eternally, for always
The watchdog of the dead
And looking to the morning sun
They guard the lives of everyone, singing
Run with me, run with me
And we can fly
The mysteries of Egypt
Are deep inside their souls
The hounds of Ibiza
Guard secrets yet untold
Singing run with me, run with me
And catch the stars that fall
Come with me, come with me
And hear the winds that call -
The power of a hunter
Rests in their graceful frame
A long distance runner
Who's driven by the game
Leaping up into the air
They grab the moon and hold it there, singing
Run with me, run with me
And we can fly
Come with me, come with me
Across the eastern skies -
Oh run with me, run with me
And we can fly -

Irish Terrier (Earli In the Mornin’)
When morning comes to Dublin town, rabbits and badgers go underground
I'm off to the hunt like Attila the Hound earli in the morning
Rats and squirrels you'd better pray, fox and otters I'm not here to play
My name is Mick stay outta my way earli in the morning
Aye sir I'm the messenger sent here by the army
I've crossed the lines a thousand times, danger could not harm me
I stand on guard, I work alone, Irish as The Blarney Stone
I am the Irish Terrier earli in the morning.
Jiggidy jig I'm light on my feet, tough as nails and sugar sweet
I give everybody the third degree earli in the morning
I swim in water, I frolic on land, I win the hearts of child and man
All in all I'm a hooligan earli in the morning.
Aye sir I'm the messenger sent here by the army
I've crossed the lines a thousand times danger could not harm me
I stand on guard, I work alone, Irish as The Blarney Stone
I am the Irish Terrier earli in the morning.

(Italian Greyhound) I Love Your Sweet Disposition
People stop and ask your name
They want to know from where you came
I tell them this dog is history
You'll never find another so complete
I love your sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet disposition
All of your eight pounds, Italian Greyhound
Sweet disposition
I've never seen a prettier face
Your love of luxury shows good taste
Do you remember the glory days
When all of Roma whispered your name
I love your sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet disposition
All of your eight pounds, Italian Greyhound
Sweet disposition
From the Mediterranean Sea
To the streets of New York City
People always stop and stare -
You've got the look, you've got the flair
When you stare into the world
Do you dream of kings or do you dream of squirrels
It doesn't matter to me what you do
I'll always love your every move
I love your sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet disposition
All of your eight pounds, Italian Greyhound
Sweet disposition

(Irish Wolfhound) Who's That Dog?
Who's that dog, what's his name
I heard he's Irish and wolf is his game
All the girls think he's so wow
They want to know what's behind his shaggy brow
He's so fine, they say, he's so sweet
Those Irish eyes will make you weep
Who's that dog, what's his game,
I heard he's Irish and wolf is his game
He's the talk of the neighborhood
Cause when he moves by he looks so good
He don't talk much but when he does
The boys fall back and the girls fall in love
He's so kind they say, he's so sweet,
Those Irish eyes will make you weep
Who's that dog, what's his name
I heard he's Irish and wolf is his game
He runs with the kings, proudly he sings, beautiful sighthound
Standing so tall he rules them all, beautiful sighthound
He lays at home late at night
Dreaming by the hearth in the fire light'
I believe he's the gentlest of breeds
They say a loving dog makes a good heart weak
He's so kind, they say, he's so sweet
Those Irish eyes will make you weep
Who's that dog, what's his name
I heard he's Irish and wolf is his game

Irish Setter
When Irish mist lays cool in the morning
I'll be gone, fields astorming
Follow the quail across the stream
Wings in flight in all I dream
I thunder like the rain
With speed of light I cross terrain
I run like the wind, I fly like the breeze
Son of a gun, point and freeze
Such is the life of the Irish Setter
Taking flight with birds of a feather
Sweep the earth from left to right
Circle back and close in tight
I soar above them all
I stand so tall and proud
I run like the wind, I fly like the breeze,
Son of a gun, point and freeze.
I give to you my heart to keep
I'll make you laugh or sigh so deep
My coat of silk, my noble head
I'll make you proud to love big red.
I stand so strong and tall
Most beautiful of all
I run like the wind, I fly like the breeze,
Son of a gun, point and freeze,
I run like the wind, I fly like the breeze,
Son of a gun, point and freeze.
